IMPROVISATION | PLAYSHOP
6:30 pm, 16-20 Feb, F $15 / C $13 / FA $10
Our pitch is your lucky strike. The advertising world of the 1960’s comes alive in this improvised show. Watch our actors winning important accounts, navigating social dynamics of the workplace while everybody is trying to make partner. Sit back, take some Secor Re-laxatives and enjoy. We're gonna smoke.
VLADIMIR THE CROW-WHISPERING GHOUL
COMEDY, THEATRE, PHYSICAL THEATRE | PAUL BOURKE THEATRE (AUS)
8:00 pm, 16-20 Feb, F $18 / C $14 / FA $12
Vladimir the Crow is a scholar of Horror and a conduit to all things ghastly and ghoulish, a grotesque clown and surreal song and dance man. The show is a dark, poetic, hypnotic Fairytale and a celebration of classic Horror.
WHY DO I DREAM?
PHYSICAL THEATRE, COMEDY | SABRINA D'ANGELO (AUS)
9:30 pm, 17-20 Feb, F $18 / C $14 / FA $12
WINNER – BEST COMEDY, NOMINEE – STAND-OUT PERFORMER
(NZ Fringe 2014)
Body-poet Sabrina D’Angelo tells the story of her life (and the life of her story). Enter a bizarre silent film world where bears, bum-worms and Madame Bovary burst forth like hot-air buffoons. Described as ‘Kate Bush meets Mr. Bean’, Sabrina probes into the grand themes of life, love and identity with the grace and zest of an excited toddler. Wickedly funny and heartwarmingly tender, it’s the physical comedy that’s all in your mind.
“Will have you in stitches.” The Age
“Horrifically funny.” Time Out Melbourne
“Comedy equals tragedy plus mime.” All mimes
ZEN AND THE PIGEON GIRL
PUPPETRY, PHYSICAL THEATRE, COMEDY | SABRINA D'ANGELO (AUS)
1:00 pm, 19-20 Feb, F $15 / C $12
Meet Zen. She’s half-pigeon, half-human. Zen has arms instead of wings. She can’t fly, but she can do other cool stuff like play the sitar, and do tricks with her marshmallow nunchucks. Zen is on an important mission: to find her lost mum! She must journey up high, into the sea in the sky – kingdom of the cosmic octopus. But how will she get there without wings? Join Zen as she travels through lands of songful soup caves and farting sunflowers, meeting scaredy goats and bummy worms along the way. A seriously silly new action-adventure tale told through physical comedy, clowning, puppetry and music.
"Lots of laughs for kids and adults alike" -ellaslist

AGAINST THE PIERCING SUN
THEATRE, MUSIC | MAKING FRIENDS COLLECTIVE
6:30 pm, 22-26 Feb, F $18 / C $15 / FA $12
Listen to the loneliness of the night. Elements of traditional musical and operatic styles combine with the genre of electroacoustic music in Against the Piercing Sun, an ensemble piece which follows one person’s search for external validation as they battle ego, estrangement and their own circadian rhythms.
Come and get noisy.
TOMÁS FORD'S CRAPTACULAR
CABARET, MUSIC, COMEDY | TOMÁS FORD (AUS)
8:00 pm, 22-26 Feb, F $18 / C $14 / FA $12
Award winning Australian showman Tomás Ford sings the worst songs of all time. Can he flip them into kickass party jams? And will his street cred survive? An attempted spectacular of electronic beats, smooth-ish crooning and inept attempts at cabaret charisma.
“Beautiful Madness” ★★★★★ – Time Out London
"What sort of person creates a show as deranged as this? But then again, what kind of person am I to be enjoying it?" ★★★★★ - ThreeWeeks
'A horrific affront to traditional cabaret. And I loved every minute of it." ★★★★½ Adelaide Theatre Guide
LOVELY LADY LUMP
THEATRE, COMEDY | LANA SCHWARCZ (AUS)
9:30 pm, 23-26 Feb, F $19 / C $15 / FA $13
Last year Lana was diagnosed with Early Breast Cancer. So she wrote some jokes. And made a theatre show. Spoiler alert: She's back!
'Pure comedy with a serious edge. Schwarcz is like fizzy soda - effervescent' - Uptown Magazine
'Bubbly, wacky, unique' - Glamadelaide
"Hilariously Honest" - Sometimes Melbourne
'Brilliant and unusual' - Winnipeg Free Press
Nominated for the 720 ABC Perth Theatre Award!
THEATRE, COMEDY, IMPROV | KICKIN' RAD PRODUCTIONS
1pm - 11pm, 27 Feb, $10 single show / $20 stay as long as you like
Some people stand in the darkness. Afraid to step into the light… But not these improvisors. An epic soap opera featuring the hunkiest honeys of Lyall Baywatch. Lifeguards, surfers, dog walkers. They’ll keep you safe or they’ll die trying. Come for one episode or stay all day and work on your theatre tan.
WHAT'S ALL THIS ABOUT
