CREATIVE SPACES CAPSULE
VISUAL ARTS | VARIOUS ARTISTS
6pm - Late, 15 Feb - 25 Feb, Free (FatG Foyer)
From Invercargill to Auckland, the Creative Spaces Capsule exhibition is a result of a cumulative art tour by Creative Spaces throughout New Zealand. At the landing of the capsule, each space added a creative element to the capsule and now you can check out this exciting and eclectic range of artworks that reflect the talent of Aotearoa artists from creative spaces.
Creative Spaces are organisations where people are supported to make art and participate in artistic activities. Artists often have a disability, a lived experience of mental ill health or in need of a boost to improve their health and wellbeing through art. Creative spaces provide space, resources, and assistance in ways that will lead to self-expression, empowerment and self-development.
Join us and celebrate the talent and imagination of these creative communities.

This is a show about their feelings. Ew.

This Festival showcases many great comedy shows. They’ll be performed by palatably quirky people in jeans and t-shirts, sharing ‘unique’ world views that gratifyingly mesh with your own outlook. These shows will be great. See them. But afterwards, you’re going to wanna hear about punching dudes in Berlin sex clubs and accidentally taking hallucinogens in international airports. And Papa Skye has you covered there.
An unlikely love story. A show about working hard and living weird. Adventures, hedonism and madness from the belly o' the Sparklebeast. Direct from sold-out runs in Melbourne, Adelaide, Berlin and Edinburgh, don't miss the New Zealand debut of Australia's favourite glittery muppet dominatrix comedian!
CHATTER: A MODERN OPERA
MUSIC, THEATRE | DOUBLE U DOUBLE U PRODUCTIONS
9:30 pm, 23-25 Feb, Koha $5
Every night, when it’s time for bed, Grace and Artie do the same thing. “Step 1: Brush our teeth.” “Step 2: Netflix and chill.” “Step 3: Lights off, and spoon.” If only they could take off the worries, and questions, and secrets from the day. It wears them like a dank jacket. Restless, silent, sharing a King Single, how could two people be so close and yet so far apart?
Chatter is a modern opera created by William Duignan and Cameron Stewart. Constructed live, using only a looper and the human voice, Chatter is about hot bodies, cold secrets, and stress-induced insomnia.
“Nagging seeds, when left unsaid, take root inside your head.”
